What is love?

This is how dcontessa perceives love, as she feels and experiences love, at this very moment in time...

Love is like a kinda fuzzy feeling that roots, strengthens and grows within you when you think about someone, the smile that creases your face and lights up your eyes when you miss him, think of him and wonders how he is doing at that moment in time. You wish so much that he is next to you, or you being next to him...Love, as in togetherness for a couple, extends beyond companionship. It is true friendship, blissfulness, sustenance, trust, faith, loyalty...and the steadfastness to be together in good and bad times. Love nurtures.

And no...it's not infatuation, as it's the kind of feeling you get when that special someone is happy, and you know that you're happy only if he's happy and things are working out for him. Love is about giving, and that's all you can think about, how to give him happiness.

Love is when you are so close together, even if distance separates you apart. Somehow, you're attuned to each other, there's a connection somehow in the mind, heart, body and soul. You long for the time when you can be together, even if it is for something as simple as just holding hands and sitting together in blissful companionship, even if within a big crowd.

Nothing just transcends the bond that a couple in love may share, and you pray to God, that it may last forever, for this love to grow stronger as time goes on...

Such love is so strong that you'd want to share the beauty of it with the rest of the world, so that others can too, celebrate this happiness and revel in the calmness and beatitude that love bestows on both beings sharing this bond.

And love breathes happiness....

I remember when I was just 14, when I came across this line from I Corinthians 13:4-8...
(4) Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud. (5) Love is never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand it's own way. Love is not irritable or touchy. Love does not hold grudges and will hardly notice when others do it wrong. (6) Love does not delight in wrong, but rejoices in the truth. (7) If you love someone, you will be loyal to them, no matter what the cost. You will always believe in them, always expect the best in them, and will always stand your ground defending them.
(8) For love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. So Faith, Hope and Love abide these three; but the Greatest of these is Love!

Indeed, love is what I live for.
